Ye Mystic Krewe of the Nautilus is a??Tampa Bay organization founded on March 17, 2003. We are a family-oriented Krewe open to both singles and families that participates in multiple community parades and other activities each year. The goal of the Krewe is to promote environmental awareness and conservation through participation and to have fun in the beautiful environment of Tampa Bay. ??Our two primary charities are the 1Voice Foundation and The Florida Aquarium.
What a blast everyone had at Ye Mystic Krewe of the Nautilus’ new event – the Inter-Krewe Booty Fashion Show.?? Carey Bond was the event idea cheerleader and Dorene Collier of Event Show Productions??was the creative and execution force behind a fabulous show.
The actual show cleverly incorporated each and every participating krewe and was fun to watch.?? Our sincere thanks goes to the following krewes who were all very good sports: Bonney-Read Pirate Queens, Bootlegger Belles and Beaus, The Krewe of Charlotte De Barry, Sultans of Egypt Shriners, Les Belles Femmes & Les Beaux, Krewe of the Nautilus, Ye Notorious Krewe of the Peg Leg Pirate, Krewe of Shamrock, Krewe of St. Brigit, Thieves of San Lorenzo, and Krewe of Ybor.?? Lots of fun pictures below:
We also have the opportunity to shop or win raffle items from vendors and businesses that support the krewes and parade season with their productions and services.?? Our heartfelt thanks go to:?? Dorcas Dressmaking, House of Avalon, South Tampa Trading Company, Pirate Fashions, and Roberts Meats and Catering who were all on site with us, along with A.Haley, Buccaneer Beads, Damsel in this Dress, Gasparilla Glitz and Glam, Imagine That, Jux-ta-pose Apparel and Studio, LMB Boutique, Sara???s Karma Chic and Sun Groves, INC.?? All of these business helped to make this first year event quite a success!
Finally, we have to thank our tireless volunteers who worked tirelessly to bring the event together!?? Many thanks to Michelle McCutchen, Michelle Urbanski, and Carol Conn, of course our Fabulous DJ Lawrence.?? We also had some wonderful “Day Of” volunteers, including Erin Fiallo, Cheryl Castalleri, Mike Castalleri, Jason Carroll, Paul Quintero, Michelle Whitmire, Nicole McCutchen, Mike Pastore, Mark Williams, and Brian Willis.
We hope everyone can join us next year for our second fabulous event on Nov. 17, 2018.
Ye Mystic Krewe of the Nautilus??can’t thank enough Moffitt Cancer Center and Universal Fire Systems.?? These amazing and supportive??businesses made a huge difference as sponsors of the 11th Annual Quest for Hope.
Obviously we would not have a successful event collecting funds to donate to the 1Voice Foundation and the Florida Aquarium without those of you who participated on the scavenger teams and those who volunteered and made the event flow as planned.?? Our heartfelt thanks goes to all of you!
We are also sincerely grateful to these establishments for their continued support of Quest for Hope! Many partnered with us 11 years ago when we launched Quest. Several are new participants.?? We appreciate you and could not make this event happen without your support! Many thanks.
Members of Ye Mystic Krewe of the Nautilus assisted the Florida Aquarium to provide fun, food and live music at their stellar Brews by the Bay event.?? Local breweries from the area provided free flowing beer for guests to enjoy.
Thanks to all of our YMKN volunteers who donated a total of 48 hours of time to this major Florida Aquarium event!
Ye Mystic Krewe of the Nautilus volunteered to help??Friends of the Riverwalk,??which is dedicated to preserving the waterfront for the Tampa Bay citizens, host Riverfest 2017. ??It was a great time which included??live entertainment & food festivals all along the Tampa Riverwalk.
Our thanks to all of the YMKN volunteers. ??You helped make the event a success!
Ye Mystic Krewe of the Nautilus joined What the Buc Really Matters at the 3rd Annual Trunkslammers Invitational benefitting the 1Voice Foundation. ??Energetic and exuberant golfers hit the River Hills Country Club golf course to tackle the whacky challenges at various holes, all for the purpose raising money to fight pediatric cancer. ??”What the Buc” created a lively and boisterous event that was clearly enjoyed by all! ??YMKN added to it by having a golf team and by manning hole 6 with a tee up challenge and jello shot rewards.
Prizes were plentiful and dinner was great.
YMKN gives a big shout out to “What the Buc,” ??to all of the 1Voice volunteers, & to the golf participants, without whom the event certainly could not have come off as well as it did.
Very proud of our YMKN Golf participants Minesh??Patel, Mike Castellari, Chris Morgenstern, and (in spirit because he had the mumps) Marshall Jones!!
Also, a big thanks goes to YMKN volunteers Monica Throckmorton, Shannon Daugherty, Mike Pastore, Carol Conn, Karen Garcia McGowan, Tracey Mills and Michelle Whitmire.?? Hooray to Karen Garcia McGowan who created our 6th hole challenge and who helped, along with Shannon and Carol, make the jello shot rewards. ??And thanks to krewe members Michelle Urbanski and Christine Mattioli who joined the event for the dinner and prizes. ??It was clear What the Buc and 1Voice Foundation appreciated the participation.
