SharkCon is an event hosted by YMKN's very own Sara and Spencer Steward!  This fun event is dedicated to increasing awareness about shark and ocean conservation, and to raise money for ocean and shark conservation efforts. 

Volunteers are needed on both Saturday and Sunday (7/16 & 7/17).  Volunteer activities may include manning a ticket or information booth, working security, etc....nothing strenuous or where you'll get dirty AND IT'S AIR CONDITIONED!!!!!.  

Important Information:

  • DEADLINE TO SIGN UP IS WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1ST!!!  This is so the volunteer t-shirts can be ordered.
  • All volunteers will receive a t-shirt and two free passes that can be used either day of the event.
  • All volunteers will get a 1 hour break for lunch and other breaks as needed. 
  • There are two shifts available each day:
    • Full day (8:00am - 5pm) - Earns 9 volunteer hours towards the 2022-2023 season requirement.
    • Partial day (8:00am-3pm) - Earns 7 volunteer hours towards the 2022-2023 season requirement..

About us

Ye Mystic Krewe of the Nautilus is a 501c3 organization dedicated to having fun while promoting philanthropy, environmental awareness and conservation of our beautiful Tampa Bay Area.  We do this through participation in the Gasparilla parades and related events, as well as a variety of hands-on activities with our charitable partners. 

Our mission is to promote Florida environmental awareness and conservation through friendly partnerships, education, charity sponsorship and community service. We volunteer and participate in various clean-up and conservation projects in the Tampa Bay area.  We also raise funds for the 1 Voice Foundation in order to enhance current programs for children & families fighting pediatric cancer.
