Ye Mystic Krewe of the Nautilus is a Tampa Bay organization founded on March 17, 2003. We are a family-oriented Krewe open to both singles and families that participates in multiple community parades and other activities each year. The goal of the Krewe is to promote environmental awareness and conservation through participation and to have fun in the beautiful environment of Tampa Bay. Our two primary charities are the 1Voice Foundation and The Florida Aquarium.
Members of YMKN joined the Rough Riders’ St. Patrick’s World Record Attempt Pub Crawl on March 11, 2017 as the Rough Riders made an official attempt to break the world record (with Guinness Book) for “most people on a bar crawl.” We don’t know yet if the Rough Riders were able to break the record, but we do know proceeds from the event went to some very good causes, including the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital – the Veterans’ Recreational Therapy Program. Thanks to those of you who participated.
On March 3, 2017 members of Ye Mystc Krewe of the Nautilus attended Cruising to a Cure with the 1Voice Foundation aboard Holland America’s beautiful Ms. Oosterdam. The event was a luncheon celebrating the Children’s Cancer Research Group’s guests, supporters and volunteers.
At this time, only 4 cents of every cancer research dollar goes to pediatric cancer research. Dr. Cameron Tebbi, who was the guest speaker at this signature event, oversees the Children’s Cancer Research Group at USF here in Tampa. Dr. Tebbi and his team are not working on a “cure” for cancer; their goal is prevention!
Looting, plundering, pillage and playing were the activities underway at the Gasparilla Children’s Extravaganza where YMKNe hosted the 1 Voice Children as well as a military family from McDill. Thanks to all who helped with the children to provide them and our military family some outstanding fun that they could not experience elsewhere.
A great time was had by all those who participated in our YMKN Ugly Holiday Outfit Bike Ride on Saturday, 12/10/16. A BIG SHOUT OUT goes to Carey Bond, who put the event together. Many thanks go to Love’s Artifacts Bar & Grill, Hula Bay, and Hooters for offering discounted drinks and/or free appetisers for our group! And, of course, kudos and thanks to all who participated. We very much appreciate it.
And the winners were:
Ye Mystic Krewe of the Nautilus gathered at Bernini’s Restaurant in Ybor for their 13th Annual Nauti Ball. Drinking martinis and sangria, eating filet mignon, chicken marsala, and salmon, a great time was had by all.
