CELEBRATING OUR 20th YEAR!!!
2003 - 2023
Who We AreYe Mystic Krewe of the Nautilus is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to having fun while promoting philanthropy, environmental awareness and conservation of our beautiful Tampa Bay Area. We do this through participation in the Gasparilla parades and related events, as well as a variety of hands-on activities with our charitable partners. Our MissionOur mission is to promote Florida environmental awareness and conservation through friendly partnerships, education, charity sponsorship and community service. We volunteer and participate in various clean-up and conservation projects in the Tampa Bay area. We also raise funds for the 1 Voice Foundation in order to enhance current programs for children & families fighting pediatric cancer. And to pay homage to our muse, we take an annual trip to Key West to visit environmentally protected and sensitive areas and toast the sunset! Our primary philanthropic partner is the 1Voice Foundation, a Tampa Bay charity dedicated to funding research and providing financial, educational and emotional support services for families impacted by pediatric cancer. Our conservation partners are Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful and Tampa Bay Watch. |

Our History and People Ye Mystic Krewe of the Nautilus was founded on March 17, 2003, making us one of the longer-established Gasparilla Parade Krewes. We are a family-friendly Krewe comprised of singles, couples and families from a variety of backgrounds and lifestyles. Ye Mystic Krewe of the Nautilus is more than just a parade krewe! While we are certainly most visible during parade season (you've probably noticed our very unique submarine float), we have social and volunteer events scheduled year-round. Additionally, members are required to complete a specified number of volunteer hours per year (a minimum of 15) in support of our charitable partners to remain members in good standing. As a smaller Krewe (usually 60-80 members) and unlike many of the larger krewe organizations, our members know each other by name, and associate outside of Krewe events regularly. We are a Krewe whose members truly care about, respect and support each other. | Our Story In 2003, our two founders (Minesh and Leslie) posed the idea to each other to start a Krewe. They had a passion for beach life, stemming from frequent visits to Key West and listening to endless tracks of Jimmy Buffet with the occasional sunset beer toast. |
