    Staging: Gulf High School parking lot (5085 Madison St, New Port Richey, FL 34652). 

    The float is due to arrive at 3:30 (part of Wave B); Staging opens at 4pm.  Please note that anyone entering the staging lot with bags, coolers, etc. - those items are subject to search.

    Disbanding: Near the intersection of Rt 19 and South Rd (near the Fran Haasch law group building).

    Guest Policy:

    • Member children are welcome to attend at no cost. 
    • Adult guests must be sponsored by a current member and pay a $50 fee.  Guest must wear holiday-themed attire (no Santa suits allowed as per parade organizer).  The adult guest list will be capped at 20 people.

    Member Costuming:

    Please remember that this is a family-friendly parade with lots of kids in attendance.  Have fun with the costuming (guidelines below) but keep it appropriate.

    • Men: Standard black pants and boots, but you may substitute a red or green shirt in place of the standard white shirt and/or a holiday-themed vest.  Men are encouraged to wear their krewe patch on their vest.  You can order a krewe patch on the Webstore under Costuming and Name Tags
    • Ladies: Standard costume gold skirt and black boots, but you may substitute a green, red or holiday-themed blouse in place of the standard black or white blouse.  Corsets are optional but should be red, green or holliday-patterned if worn.
    • As with any night parade, you are welcome to add lights, blinky items, etc. to  your costume.

    Parking:

    Recommended parking locations from the parade organizers

    Option 1 – All Ways Center (Post-Parade Pickup)

    6014 US Highway 19, New Port Richey, FL 34652
    Park a vehicle here before the parade, then walk back via the US Hwy 19 sidewalk after the event.

    Option 2 – Parking Lot D (Participant Parking)

    Located at Grand Blvd & Marine Parkway.
    Access is only from US Hwy 19 → Marine Parkway (eastbound) or from Grand Blvd → Marine Parkway.
    Ideal lot for participants with coolers, bead bags, or supplies.
    This lot is secured; participants will remain there until cleared by law enforcement.

    Food & Drink: 

    This is a family-friendly parade, so no alcoholic beverages will be served.  We'll have plenty of water and soda on hand, as well as some snack food / sliders.

    All aboard!!!!  1Voice is providing roundtrip bus transportation for the Children's Parade.

    Free to YMKN members volunteering as 1Voice Buddies for the day (and their child if bringing).  

    $20 for everyone else.


    Sign up to be a 1Voice Buddy!

    $20 for any other YMKN members who want to ride  the bus. Bus pass wristbands will be distributed at bead drop off.

    Pickup and drop off will be at the Florida Aquarium.  Pickup is scheduled for 1:00 pm.  They don't like to let the bus sit there for long, so make sure to be on time.

    There's a city parking lot at the Aquarium.

    Be a Buddy to a 1 Voice Child (or two) at the Children's Parade and earn 6 hours of volunteer time!  

    Every year, YMKN hosts around 15 children  from 1Voice on our float for the Children's Parade.  Only the children attend (not the parents) so we need volunteers to buddy up with a child for the day.  Your job as their buddy is pretty simple...

    • Staging - Meet them in staging around 2pm and keep them entertained until the parade starts.   Some volunteers provide pirate-y stuff or a special bead necklace to their assigned child, but that's up to you.
      • If you want, ride with the kids on the bus to staging (bus will leave the aquarium at 1pm).  Please purchase a free bus pass  just so we can keep a count of seats taken.
      • 1Voice will provide lunch for all children and volunteers to be consumed in the staging area.
    • During the Parade - Once the parade starts, you just need to hang with them on the float while they go crazy throwing beads and having the time of their lives! 
    • After the Parade - Make sure they get to the 1Voice/YMKN bus.  Volunteers are invited to ride the bus back to the Aquarium and join the 1Voice families for dinner.

  • 2026 Gasparilla Children's Parade (Parade kicks off at 4pm)

    Ahoy Nauti-Mates & Mini Nauti-Mates!

    The Children's Parade is coming up and we need to know who is coming aboard for our voyage!

    • If you are attending - Please RSVP so we know how much food to order.  There are multiple options available based on whether you are bringing kids.  
    • Click here if you want to be a 1Voice Buddy (6 hours of volunteer time)
    • If you are NOT attending - Please still RSVP using Option 4 - that way we don't order more box lunches than necessary (1Voice is paying for lunch and we don't want to waste their money)!

    Reminders about Important Stuff -

    • Children aged 13 and over are permitted to walk behind the float, provided their member sponsor walks with them and they are able to keep up with the float.  
    • Walkers - You want to stay behind the float to avoid getting hit with beads (the kids usually don't throw them hard enough and they land in the street).  
    • Members bringing children under 5 years old are encouraged to use the first floor during the parade.  We'll have stools/benches for them at the port holes.  It's a lot less overwhelming for the little ones downstairs where it's not as crowded.  We'll also have ear plugs available for anyone who needs them.
    • Click here to submit the online child guest waivers.  Waivers can also be accessed through the website under the Events menu.  Waivers must be e-signed by the parent and  submitted at least one week prior to the parade.
    • As a reminder, no alcohol is permitted at the Children's Parade!  For those of you who are new - this is a big deal!  If anyone on our krewe is spotted with alcohol (or appears to be inebriated), we automatically get kicked out of the Day Parade.

    Planning for Parade Day

    • Wristbands - Wristbands will be distributed at the bead drop off event held from 5:30-7:30 pm the night before the parade.   If you can't make it to the event, please submit our e-signature wristband pickup form to have someone else pick up your wristband or to request it be mailed to you.
    • Time: The parade starts at 4pm, so everyone should be in staging by 3pm at the latest.  1Voice Buddies should arrive by 2pm (or better yet, come on the bus).
    • Parade Position: TBD.  The float will be parked on Bayshore at TBD.


    • Disbanding: Bayshore & Edison, about 1/2 mile from the Davis Island Bridge.
    • Bus: A roundtrip bus to/from the Aquarium is available (leaves the Aquarium at 1pm). 
      • The bus and parking are free to YMKN 1Voice Buddies (and their children)  but you still need to register for a seat!.  
      • A limited number of seats are available for purchase ($25 per person).  To secure a seat, click here.  Everyone must register for a seat, even those getting to ride for free.
    • Lunch: 1Voice will provide a box lunch for everyone.  Please include the number of lunches needed when you RSVP.

    Child Guest Fees:

    • Children of members are free. 
    • Members bringing a child that is not their own must pay $25 per child + $1 processing fee.   Fee includes lunch and non-alcoholic beverages.
    • Children must be chaperoned by the sponsoring member at all times, regardless of the child's age. 
    • No adult guests permitted.

    The child's registration is not confirmed until the registration fee is paid and all necessary forms are submitted by the child's parent.  A link to the waiver is above.

    The main activities will be cleaning and removing/storing all the benches, etc. that the kids stand on during the parade.  Cleanup usually takes about one hour but you will receive a minimum of 2 hours credit.

    Pick up time options: 10:30 or 11:30.  The bus will leave promptly at the designated time, so arrive early enough to park and get to the bus.

    Planning for Parade Day

    • Don't forget your re-usable cup!!!!  We have a few extras under the bar for emergencies, but definitely not enough for everyone and no single-use plastic cups.
    • Wristbands - Wristbands will be distributed at the bead drop off event  from 5:30 - 7:30 pm the night befor the parade.  If you can't make it to the event, please submit our e-signature wristband pickup form to have someone else pick up your wristband or to request it be mailed to you.
    • Parade Kick-Off: The parade kicks off at 2pm, but everyone should plan to arrive no later than 1pm.  We will run a roundtrip bus to/from the after party location.  Book your seat here.  If that doesn't work for you and you only want a ride to staging, check out the IKC Facebook group - There are several Krewes who run a bus loop to staging for around $20/seat and post availability on the page.  The two most popular are: 
      • Krewe of St. Florian runs a one-way bus from the Fire Museum 
      • Egypt Shriners run a roundtrip bus from/to their event hall on Washington St.

    Parade Position: TBD.  The float will be parked on Bayshore between TBD and TBD.

    Bus Transportation: A one-way bus is available (55 seats available) and will take riders from disbanding to the after-party.  Click here to purchase a seat.  Note - the bus fills up every year, so don't wait until the last minute to purchase.  Any seats not sold by 1/15 will be offered to other Krewes.

    Lunch: Lunch will be provided at no charge.  Please indicate when you RSVP if you require a vegetarian meal.

    Snacks: A variety of healthy snacks (protein bars, etc) will be available.  We'll also have a tray of sandwich sliders for later in the day (on those amazingly alcohol-absorbing King's Hawaiian rolls :)

About us

Ye Mystic Krewe of the Nautilus is a 501c3 organization dedicated to having fun while promoting philanthropy, environmental awareness and conservation of our beautiful Tampa Bay Area.  We do this through participation in the Gasparilla parades and related events, as well as a variety of hands-on activities with our charitable partners. 

Our mission is to promote Florida environmental awareness and conservation through friendly partnerships, education, charity sponsorship and community service. We volunteer and participate in various clean-up and conservation projects in the Tampa Bay area.  We also raise funds for the 1 Voice Foundation in order to enhance current programs for children & families fighting pediatric cancer.
